KOSTAS MALTEZOS
Kostas Maltezos spent 15 years as the GM of Coco-Mat, a global brand of natural sleeping products, working in Amsterdam, Shanghai, and Athens. In 2012, with a vision to spread the essence of original Greek hospitality worldwide, he created Coco-Mat Hotels n’ Resorts. In 2013, inspired by the unique combination of Serifos’ silver rocks, the Aegean Sea, and the Mediterranean sun, he created Coco-Mat Eco Residences, an off-the-beaten-path environment that celebrates his love for the hotel’s Vagia Beach setting. “I cannot forget the sound of the waves the first time we slept there,” says Maltezos, who studied European culture and loves literature. “It was like both a lullaby and good company, and the sound woke us sweetly the next morning.”
